Brenntag opens a new logistics center in France

Brenntag, the global leader in the growth market for the distribution of chemicals, strengthens its position in the French market by opening a new state-of-the-art logistics center in Montville, near Rouen.

 

With 4,500 m³ of tank space on the 100,000 m² Montville site, Brenntag S.A. France will distribute solvents, solids, acids and lyes to industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, coatings and detergents. The new warehousing facility, with an investment volume of more than 16 million Euro, complies with all the latest standards for environment, qual-ity and safety and combines the activities of three former sites of Brenntag Normandie. With the DIN ISO 9001 certification and the ESAD audit, the new site has voluntarily exceeded the benchmarks for quality management and allows certification for environmental management set out in DIN ISO 14001.

 

Yves Merolle, Managing Director at Brenntag S.A. France, says the new facility is a perfect strategic fit in the French distribution network of Brenntag: “With this step we achieve more efficiencies between our warehouse facilities and can further improve our logistics processes. In addition to our 17 sites in France, Brenntag offers via Montville high quality, value added services and ensures the efficient and safe supply of chemicals in the region of Normandy, one of the largest industrial ar-eas for products distributed by Brenntag S.A.”

 

An important accomplishment connected with the new site is the installa-tion of a sophisticated mixing and blending facility. With a capacity of 3,000 m² the new installation is the main mixing and blending facility for Brenntag in France and enables the company to provide an even larger variety of products to customers and suppliers.
